Very thorough work going through my diet and nutrition, highlighting protein, carbs and fat intake to energy expenditure.

Mrs Hughes also worked out a fitness plan with follow up assessments.

I was impressed by the level of preparation taking into consideration and understanding of my lifestyle and the ease of which I am able to adapt to the practical aspects of the plan.

Well where do I start, I have known Deborah for about 7 years we have both worked together so know each other very well. Originally I started going to the gym and encouraged Deborah to come along as it was a laugh and hopefully was going to make us fit!

As time went on we both really got into fitness and Deborah joined a Kung-Fu club and really began to expand her fitness, I could see she really love it and when she told me last year that she had decided to do a personal trainer course I thought it was an excellent idea. Once she began the course she asked me to be her guinea pig, which I was definitely interest in as even though I exercise nearly every night I still wasn't shifting any weight/fat at all. It was mak ing me really depressed and was getting to the point of why do I bother, as I knew I was doing something wrong but didn't know what. It wasn't as if I was eating badly as I suffer from a condition called Hypoglycaemia, which just means I have a low blood sugar level. So I eat like I am on the GI diet.

So about January this year, Deborah started to show me that I was exercising incorrectly, testing my fitness and looking at my eating habits. It was amazing within about 3 months, I started to lose fat around my thighs, hips and tummy which where my main areas that I hated. I was so pleased with the results and people even started to comment on the fact I looked smaller. It wasn't the fact that Deborah helped me to lose just fat, she made me feel great whilst I was exercising, and she motivated me in every way, even when she wasn't around!

When training with her, she has a calm and collected influence about her, and her level of knowledge about fitness and diets is unsurpassed. I always feel comfortable and encouraged when training with her, as her professionalism in this is excellent, I couldn't recommend a better to person, not only to make you look good, feel good about yourself as well.

Thank you Debs you are a great friend.

At 35, having been something of a smoker and drinker for 20 years, I needed some careful handling to start getting myself into some sort of reasonable working order. Deborah provided this with surprising ease. Whilst anything like this does constitute a life-style change and does require personal commitment, the healthy eating plan is simple to follow and not too restrictive and indeed some really simple tips were given about things with unexpectedly high calories etc that I never realised, which makes it easier to cut out problem-causing foods and drinks.

With regard to the exercise, my current (awful) fitness level was checked and the exercises were geared to pushing me to a level that I could cope with, and then gradually increased in accordance with my progress.

As a trainer, Deborah is enthusiastic, down to earth and good fun. Also she is concerned with keeping you feeling fresh and mobile rather than stiff and sore from the work-outs.

Noticeable improvements occurred within three weeks, as I started to feel lighter on my feet and more energetic than I've felt in years.

I will certainly be continuing down this road in the New Year.

Debbie took me through a six week fitness course in April / May 2005.

The course consisted of varied walking from 10 minutes to 30 minutes each day for six days a week. We did level ground walking and uphill and downhill walking at various speeds. Crowborough is probably the right place for this!

The exercises consisted of warm-up routine to start with then a cool-down at the end.

Every muscle was used for maximum benefit. In the first week we went through floor exercises, then in the second week using the basic exercises but using weights and the stability ball. In the last week we used weights on the bar and stability ball.

Debbie was very particular on the placing of feet and body alignment, as not to do damage to muscles. Also breathing needed to be done properly, I had to be reminded on occasions to breath.

I enjoyed all the exercises and lost half an inch round the hips, chest and waist. At that point my diet had not changed as old habits die hard!!!!

After countless diets and trying out new ideas hours of repetitive exercise and nothing was working. I finally sought the help of a person whom I knew had done wonders for a friend at our local Gym. She too had tried lots of diets to lose weight and had not successfully managed to do so. On seeing how fantastic she looked she told me her secret lay in finding help in changing her eating pa tterns to a healthier way and lifestyle. After a consultation with Debbie, she calculated a formula based on analysing everything I put into my mouth in one day. It soon became apparent that it was not so much what I was eating but when, i.e. times of day.

After scrutinisation, a new plan was devised for me, with some simple changes to my routines of both exercise and eating. Within a few days, I felt much better with more energy and looked less bloated. Debbie's ideas made complete sense, not about starving yourself or being deprived of the foods you enjoy just re training yourself to eat less of them and at different times during the day.

I certainly intend to stick to the regime she has given me. Mainly because it's so easy to follow.
